Today I was hanging out with Tegan and she mentioned Bruce Springsteen, and that was a huge mistake because 10 minutes later she had heard all my thoughts about Born To Run as an album, in particular how Thunder Road could be one of the greatest songs ever.

I wouldn’t say that we “don’t work with them”? They have just never offered us anything, I don’t think we would be saying no if they asked. It’s like asking “How come FV don’t work with Fat Wreck?”

When is this EP out?
Still not sure. Last week I would have said August, but now it is looking like July. I will hopefully have a pretty good idea by this time next week. I will definitely be trying to have an EP Launch show or two, and you will know all about it when I know all the facts!
How do you go about writing lyrics? I've recently started writing lyrics (after years of writing mostly instrumental music) and seem to be having trouble. Do you have any tips?
It happens a number of different ways, there is no real formula you know.
One good way I found is to get the melody you have, and just sing it. And keep singing it, and like, start adding words, whatever comes in your head. It helps with phrasing, and sometimes a really good line just comes out of you.
Other than that, I just try and be honest, and write like no one is really going to hear it except yourself. Write lots and lots. I dunno, I hope this helps?
